Information Systems Tech (FT)

Weston County Health Services is searching for that special someone to join our Technology Team!

Maintains virtual and physical server environment as well as workstations and peripheral equipment such as firewalls, routers, switches, scanners, security cameras, paging system and printers for the facility.  Assists in troubleshooting vendor supported systems, including upgrades/updates on software.  Oversees IP phone systems, ensuring the facility’s needs for 24/7 communication.  Performs network administration duties, setting up new staff on the network, deleted and/or disabling inactive staff from the network.  Supports HIPAA compliance by enforcing log on/off username/password procedures and is familiar with HIPAA Security standards.  Ability to be able to handle responsibilities calmly when under pressure and able to provide support to end users with patience and respect.  Diligent about documentation and communication to the manager about any changes made in any of the systems to ensure cohesiveness within the computer network and I.S. Department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree (two year college or technical school) in Computer Science is preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Must demonstrate a working knowledge of various computer systems, hardware, software,  network and desktop applications.
  • Experience working with all levels of personnel is a plus.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Good problem solving and organizational skills.

Receptionist (FT)

The facility’s receptionist is the face of the hospital! Must be incredibly cheerful, positive, and helpful. The successful candidate will have a numbers aptitude and be able to multitask well. This position answers all incoming calls, helps customers who walk in, resolves complaints, and helps business office staff with various tasks. Professionalism is key. Typical hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday. Because this position often is the entry point into other business office positions, candidates with bookkeeping/accounting backgrounds are strongly preferred.

Laboratory Manager (FT)

Successful candidate must be proficient in all major areas of lab work including micro, chemistry, hematology blood banking, etc and, have excellent technical & customer service skills.  Appropriate qualifying college degree required, certification strongly preferred.

Will supervise 4-5 techs.  Must have experience with the survey process through CLIA or similar, quality assurance programs, technical troubleshooting, performance improvement process, etc.

We are currently changing to a “no on-call” schedule with the lab staffed 24/7.  The Department Manager must be very flexible with schedule to cover needs in the lab on any shift.

CASH POSTING CLERK (FT)

Records all daily cash receipts into the facility, using both electronic and hard copy remittance.  Evaluates complex payer remits and posts payments and contractual allowances accurately to patient accounts.  Pursues reimbursement detail on accounts has a general understanding of third party payer systems.  Provides financial counseling to customers in regard to insurance, self-pay, etc.  Verifies and issues refunds.  Will cover other areas of the Business Office as needed.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Candidate must be able to work through very complex transactions with a great level of detail.  Will work with multiple outside vendors, payers, and customers to resolve discrepancies.  Successful candidate will have knowledge of general insurance laws, guidelines, contract language, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance programs.  Candidate must have the ability to meet daily deadlines.  Critical thinking and analysis skills are required.  Exemplary customer service skills and positive interpersonal communication skills are also necessary.  One year prior healthcare experience, accounting experience, or professional office experience required.

Activities Department Manager (FT)

Activities Department Manager

We are looking for someone to oversee the Activities Department and 3 staff members.
Are you an artsy person?  Do you love crafts?  Pottery? Reading? Playing cards or bingo?  Then this may be a fun job for you!
The Activities Department staff work with the Manor residents doing the above types of things.  Yup, you get paid for chatting, helping with get together, and playing games and such!
What’s not to love?
Activities department staff are in the building 7 days a week and on holidays.  These days are rotated among staff.
Hours run anywhere from morning to evening depending upon the shift.
This is a full time position, that requires rotating weekends and often holidays.
The Activities Department Manager organizes events and structures activities of the department to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.  The Manager also coordinates a large volunteer staff and therefore must be able to  maintain amazing community relations.  Will establish policies and procedures, and continually evaluates and monitors staff performance.  Documents staff activities in appropriate records.  Participates in management meetings, holds department meetings, prepares and is responsible for annual budget.
The Manager often drives a small resident bus, and our handicapped van, therefore a valid driver’s license is mandatory, along with an acceptable driving record.
The Manager must also be a C.N.A. licensed in the state of Wyoming.
Most of all, the Activities Department Manager must serve as a role model for their staff:  Have an outgoing, upbeat personality, handles stress and multiple demands with ease, and helps create a positive, energized and inviting environment for residents and staff alike.

Homemaker/Chore Worker – Home Health (PRN)

Will do light housework within Home Health/In Home Service’s clients homes. Include vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, etc. Applicants must be able to twist, bend, lift, kneel, and walk for long periods of time. Maintenance Tech

Newcastle has an opening for a full time addition to our Maintenance Department. Successful candidate will have experience in potable water supply/distribution, waste disposal, commercial heating/ventilation/AC, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, low voltage controls, communications, fire warning/suppression, commercial dishwashing/laundry equipment, medical gas supply, etc.

This position maintains equipment, machinery, and physical structure of the hospital/manor.

Includes upkeep of grounds, disposal of trash and waste materials, may also work with our In Home Services Department to perform services under their program, such as lawn maintenance, snow shoveling, and other outdoor maintenance for clients in their homes. Minimum starting pay $15.20 DOQ.
