CE Nurse (FT)

Works under the supervision of the Director of Long Term Care (DON). Directly supervises Nurses, Aides, and NSA’s and ensures quality, accuracy, timeliness, and follow through. Assists in ensuring professional standards of care are adhered to through proactive monitoring, mentoring, and coaching. Works closely with DON to ensure execution and follow through from staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Education: Minimum Associate Degree in nursing.
2. Licensure / Certifications: Wyoming RN
3. Experience: Minimum 1 year RN/LPN level experience in a long term care setting.
4. Knowledge of OBRA, Medicare/Medicaid rules
5. Must be able to work calmly and effectively under pressure, handling demands from multiple sources, and be able to work independently.
6. Other (Hours of Work): Primarily 5 am start time. Charge Nurses will be expected to cover shifts for all 7 days of a week.
7. Very active. Works on feet 75%-100% of the time. Involves twisting, bending, squatting, walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, seeing, hearing. Lifting range 10-200 pounds with most frequent lifts of 50 pounds.
8. Must be able to pass functional screening, both pre-employment and ongoing.

1. Must be able to perform all duties as outlined in Long Term Care RN Job Description.
2. CE Nurse is a supervisory type position that will be expected to coach, mentor, execute plans of correction, and when needed initiate disciplinary actions.
