Director of Long Term Care

Successful candidates are leaders able to balance patient needs, staff needs, and applicable laws.  Candidate must be able to positively foster and grow family and community relationships and trust. Must be able to prioritize work, professionally interact with customers, adhere to infection control requirements, and isolation requirements.  Must be a subject matter expert on applicable laws, rights, etc.  Will work with multiple internal departments and staff including providers, and also multiple external agencies such as DFS, APS, Department of Health, Veterans Administration, Ombudsman, etc.  Must have experience with the survey process and plan of correction submittals and execution.  Exemplary customer service skills and positive interpersonal communication skills are required to move the facility forward as a leader.  Successful candidates must be able to motivate staff, be successful with change management, and a proven leader. Prior healthcare experience and DON (or equivalent leadership) experience is required.  Wyoming RN license is also required.  WCHS offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Manor RN or LPN (FT/PT/PRN)

Responsible for providing outstanding resident care in accordance with facility standards in a professional and compassionate manner.  Will require RN or LPN designation.

Patient Services Director (FT)

Responsible for planning, overseeing, managing, and directing operations relative to patient care.  Acts as an executive member of the leadership team in order to maintain facility regulatory compliance through various programs and actions pertinent to the highest quality of care. Applicants must also have a current RN License.

Registration/Biller (FT)

Will be responsible for processing payments and refunds, setting up payment plans, answering account questions, researching account issues and collecting unpaid debt as well as submitting claims to insurance companies and payers such as VA, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Clinic LPN or RN (FT)

Will provide outstanding patient care and physical support for patients on a daily basis and in a professional and compassionate manner. The responsibility will include creating and/or maintaining accurate patient records, administering medication, and monitoring side effects, recording vital signs, and reporting symptoms and changes in patient conditions.

Maintenance Tech (FT)

Newcastle has an opening for a full-time addition to our Maintenance Department. Successful candidate will have experience in potable water supply/distribution, waste disposal, commercial heating/ventilation/AC, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, low voltage controls, communications, fire warning/suppression, commercial dishwashing/laundry equipment, medical gas supply, etc.

This position maintains equipment, machinery, and physical structure of the hospital/manor.

Includes upkeep of grounds, disposal of trash and waste materials, may also work with our In Home Services Department to perform services under their program, such as lawn maintenance, snow shoveling, and other outdoor maintenance for clients in their homes.

Activities Aide (PT)

The Activities Aides work in our Long Term Care facility doing activities with residents. Some are one on one activities and some are group activities. Examples are bingo, cards, reading the local news, crafts, etc. Must be comfortable with crafts, computers, and public speaking. This is a PRN or as needed position, and is not eligible for benefits. Weekend and evening availability is required as activities staff work with residents 7 days a week. Obtaining a C.N.A. license is required. WCHS provides the training. Apply now, this won’t stay open long!!

Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT, with ASCP preferred) (FT Night Shift)

WCHS is changing up our staffing hours in the lab so we are looking for a full time Lab Techs for night only shifts. There will be no “on call” time.

Qualified applicants are MT’s, MLT’s, or will have any of the other defined degrees/certifications that allow you to work in the hospital lab per CLIA regulations. Working in our lab does require very specific college education. ASCP Certification preferred.

Our lab is newly renovated and as a Lab Tech at WCHS you will get experience in all areas of the lab such as micro, chemistry, hematology, blood banking, etc. Come be a part of something great! We look forward to hearing from you!

Environmental Services (PT)

Duties include but are not limited to: operating & caring for equipment; basic understanding of chemicals/cleaning detergents & their use; able to twist, bend, lift, and walk for long periods of time. This position will cross train as a Laundry Aide as needed. Applicant must be able to work holidays and weekends. Shifts are primarily days and into early evenings.

RN Acute Care (PRN)

Responsible for planning, coordinating and providing patient care in accordance with facility standards, and the Nurse Practice Act. Will require RN designation.

Nutrition Support Aide (PT/PRN)

Assist nursing home residents at meal times. Must complete an in-house 8 hour class on feeding. Weekends/holidays as needed. Flexible hours!

Certified Nursing Assistant (FT/PT/PRN)

WCHS is searching for dedicated, caring individuals to join our team of highly qualified C.N.A.’s. Shifts may vary as needed. Must have WY C.N.A. license or have application already in process. May include shift differentials where applicable.

Transportation C.N.A. (PRN)

Weston County Health Services (WCHS) is looking for a CNA to perform resident transportation duties for resident appointments.  Our Long Term Care center is home to 58 residents who routinely have medical related appointments both in town and out of town.  The Transportation CNA may also support our Activities Department by driving residents to fun events outside the facility.  This CNA  will drive our facility minivan or our small bus and accompany residents to appointments or events.  A current Wyoming Driver’s License and a good driving record are required.  A CDL is NOT required for this position.  You must be comfortable driving in all conditions year round.

Dietary Aide (PRN)

WCHS is searching for a DIETARY AIDE to join our awesome Dietary Department Team! The successful candidate will set up the Manor dining room, assist with food …prep, serve meals, handle dishes, help clean the kitchen areas, put away stock ensure proper sanitation processes, etc. Must be able to lift up to 50 pound, with 25 pounds frequently. Hours may range from early morning to late evening shifts and include rotating weekends and holidays. Position is full time and therefore qualifies for full benefits package!
