WCHS is searching for dedicated, caring individuals to join our team of highly qualified Certified Nursing Assistants in our Home Health division.

In Home Health, CNA’s help care for community members in their homes.  CNA’s provide daily care specific to the diagnosis and age of the patient, under the supervision of the client’s nurse. CNA’s follow each client’s care plan and provide assistance with their daily care.  Will report to the nurse changes in client condition and variance from care plan or daily routine.  Charts cares and variances.  Aides will be aware of the client’s home and surroundings to ensure their safety and provide encouragement to clients to function at their highest level.  Will report safety and wellbeing concerns to the nurse and/or Director for their evaluation.  CNA staff visit clients Monday-Friday during day hours.

We currently have a Part-Time position available. Shifts may vary as needed and may include shift differentials, where applicable. This position is eligible for a $500.00 Hiring Bonus for Part-Time employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answers resident calls promptly and determines the best course of action to support them.
  • Provides physical support for residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting in and out of bed, toileting, walking, standing, or exercising.
  • Turning and repositioning bedridden residents as required.
  • Ensuring residents receive appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
  • Obtaining a wide range of information regarding resident condition, treatment plans, and suggested activities as needed.
  • Measures and records food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and reporting changes to medical or nursing staff.
  • Records vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested.
  • Examines residents to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
  • Reminds residents to take medication and nutritional supplements as required.
  • Notes observations of resident behavior, including complaints or physical symptoms to nurses.  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Wyoming State Certified Nursing Assistant 
  • Current Home Health Certification (Preferred)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Exceptional knowledge of medical terminology and processes
  • Able to pass and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
