Job Summary
WCHS is seeking a part time CNA to join our Home Health team! As the Certified Nursing Assistant, this position is responsible for providing outstanding patient care and physical and emotional support for patients on a daily basis.
Qualification
· Wyoming State Certified Nursing Assistant
· Current Home Health Certification
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Exceptional knowledge of medical terminology and processes.
· Has and maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
· Strong written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities
· Answers patient calls and determines the best course of action to support them.
· Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting in and out of bed, toileting, walking, standing, or exercising.
· Turning and repositioning bedridden patients as required.
· Ensuring patients receive appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
· Obtaining a wide range of information regarding patient condition, treatment plans, and suggested activities as needed.
· Measures and records food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and reporting changes to medical or nursing staff.
· Records vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested.
· Examines patients to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
· Reminds patients to take medication and nutritional supplements as required.
· Notes observations of patient behavior, including complaints or physical symptoms to nurses.
· Coordinates with medical staff and other departments to ensure efficiency.
