Long Term Care Director (FT)
Must be a current, licensed Registered Nurse (RN). The Director of Long-Term Care is directly responsible for overseeing Manor services and Manor staff, handling employee relations, ensuring compliance of laws and regulations are followed, managing budgets, assessing staff needs, hiring, termination, promotion, performance, designing and implementing training programs, reviewing and creating HR Policies, and developing compensation plans for over 200 employees.
Successful candidates are leaders able to balance patient needs, staff needs, and applicable laws. Candidate must be able to positively foster and grow family and community relationships and trust. Must be able to prioritize work, professionally interact with customers, adhere to infection control requirements, and isolation requirements. Must be a subject matter expert on applicable laws, rights, etc. Will work with multiple internal departments and staff including providers, and also multiple external agencies such as DFS, APS, Department of Health, Veterans Administration, Ombudsman, etc. Must have experience with the survey process and plan of correction submittals and execution. Exemplary customer service skills and positive interpersonal communication skills are required to move the facility forward as a leader. Successful candidates must be able to motivate staff, be successful with change management, and a proven leader. Prior healthcare experience and DON (or equivalent leadership) experience is required.
