Patient Acct Rep

The Patient Account Representative is responsible for submitting medical claims to Medicare and Medicaid, experience is preferred, but not required. This position is an integral part of the revenue cycle team and requires attention to detail and experience using multiple computer software systems.

We are currently hiring for a Full-Time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing
  • Following up on unpaid claims, researching and appealing denials.
  • Obtains referrals and pre-authorizations as required.
  • Checks eligibility and benefits verifications for treatments, hospitalizations, and procedures.
  • Prepares, reviews, and transmits claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing.
  • Follows up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe.
  • Works with insurance companies regarding any discrepancies in payments if necessary.
  • Ensures each insurance payment is accurate and compliant.
  • Maintains records as required.

   

 QUALIFICATIONS
  •      High School Diploma or equivalent
  •      Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  •      Strong written and oral communication skills
