WCHS is searching for dedicated, caring individuals to join our highly qualified Radiology team. 

Our radiology staff are critical to the diagnosis, health and safety of our patients.   Radiology staff perform varied exams using a variety of technical aspects within specified time constraints.  Performs quality control functions on all equipment and all areas of the department to ensure accuracy and high-quality exams.  Radiology staff work with both digital radiography and CT. Certain staff may be selected to be trained in Ultrasound or Mammography.  The department is currently staffed day hours Monday-Friday.  Staff must be able to share rotating on call to cover nights and weekends.  Radiology staff seamlessly schedule, perform prior authorizations and work with all areas of the facility to assist their patients.  Will work closely with the medical staff and nursing staff daily. 

We currently have a Full-Time position available. Shifts may vary as needed and may include shift differentials, where applicable. Must work call and holiday shifts as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures.  Escorts patients to dressing and exam rooms, provides verbal and/or written instructions, and directs and/or assists patients in positioning body parts to be imaged.  Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during exam.
  • Operates radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes in accordance with established policy and protocol.
  • Completes required QC for equipment and maintains ACR/ MQSA requirements.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  • Ensures radiologic equipment remains in working order and reports malfunctions to direct supervisor.  Opens maintenance tickets with the appropriate vendor when necessary.
  • Performs any required administrative duties including scheduling, completing necessary forms, and maintenance and department supply ordering as required.
  • Retrieves radiologic orders and transcribes related data into the electronic medical record.  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent
  • Current ARRT RF(R)
  • ARRT (CT) required within 1 year of start date
  • Current Wyoming License upon start date
  • Able to pass and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
